MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. Russian forces have destroyed over 280,000 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian army since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, according to the latest data released by Russia’s Defense Ministry.
"The following targets have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation: 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 280,647 unmanned aerial vehicles, 672 surface-to-air missile systems, 31,535 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,795 multiple rocket launchers, 36,869 field artillery guns and mortars and 76,426 special military motor vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.

The Ukrainian army lost roughly 1,170 troops in battles with Russian forces in all the frontline areas over the past 24 hours, according to the latest data on the special military operation in Ukraine released by Russia’s Defense Ministry.
The latest figures show that the Ukrainian army lost over 180 troops and three armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup North, more than 220 troops and two armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup West and over 185 troops and an armored combat vehicle in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup South.
During the last 24-hour period, the Ukrainian army also lost more than 345 troops and nine armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of Russia’s Battlegroup Center, about 215 troops and two armored combat vehicles in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup East and around 25 troops and an artillery gun in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup Dnepr, the latest figures show.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted more than 180 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed three enemy armored combat vehicles in its areas of responsibility over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup North units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of a mechanized brigade, a motorized infantry brigade, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Berezhnoye, Doroshenkovo, Garbuzovka and Kolodeznoye in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
In the Sumy direction, Battlegroup North units struck formations of a mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Markovka and Nikolskoye in the Sumy Region, it said.
The Ukrainian army lost more than 180 personnel, three armored combat vehicles, 17 motor vehicles and three electronic warfare stations in the areas of responsibility of Russia’s Battlegroup North over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup West inflicted more than 220 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two enemy armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup West units improved their forward positions and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Studenok and Smorodkovka in the Kharkov Region, Bogorodichnoye and Krymki in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost more than 220 personnel, two armored combat vehicles, including a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, 12 motor vehicles and a field artillery gun in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it said.

"Battlegroup South units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on formations of two mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, a mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian army and a marine infantry brigade in areas near the settlements of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Yasnogorka, Kondratovka and Starodubovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost more than 185 personnel, an armored combat vehicle, 27 motor vehicles, two field artillery guns and an electronic warfare station in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup Center inflicted more than 345 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed nine enemy armored combat vehicles in its area of responsibility over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup Center units gained better lines and positions and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades, an assault brigade, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian army, a marine infantry brigade and three National Guard brigades in areas near the settlements of Sergeyevka, Varvarovka, Bokovoye, Krivorozhye, Yakovlevka, Belozerskoye and Kamenka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

"Battlegroup East units advanced into the depth of the enemy’s defenses and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of an air assault brigade, an assault brigade, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian army and two marine infantry brigades in areas near the settlements of Chernenkovo in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, Kirovo, Zhyoltaya Krucha, Vasilevskoye and Novorozovka in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost an estimated 215 personnel, two armored combat vehicles and four motor vehicles in that frontline area over the past 24 hours, it specified.
Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr eliminates 25 Ukrainian troops in past day
Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr eliminated roughly 25 Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy artillery gun in its area of responsibility over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup Dnepr units improved their forward positions and inflicted losses on formations of a mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army and a territorial defense brigade in areas near the settlements of Orekhov and Preobrazhenka in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
"Up to 25 [Ukrainian] military personnel, 11 motor vehicles, an artillery gun and an electronic warfare station were destroyed," it said.
Russian forces pound energy, transport sites used by Ukrainian army in past day
Russian forces struck energy and transport infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army and enemy deployment sites over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.
"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian army, ammunition depots, workshops producing and sites storing ground robotic platforms and unmanned aerial vehicles, and also temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 145 locations," the ministry said.
Russian air defenses intercept 1,029 Ukrainian UAVs in past day
Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 1,029 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the past 24 hours, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities shot down 1,029 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
