MOSCOW, December 29. /TASS/. Russia is open to restoring political dialogue with the US but Washington must make the first move, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with TASS.
"As for the prospects of Russia-US relations, then in the event of the US’ readiness, we are open to restoring political dialogue, interrupted by Washington after the onset of the special military operation," Lavrov said. "Since it was interrupted by the Americans, not us, they should be the ones to make the first step," he added.
"So we’ll see. If the Americans begin to take our interests into account, dialogue will gradually recover. If not - then everything will remain the way it is," the top Russian diplomat said.
