MOSCOW, June 02. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s gas exports soared 50% on the year to 17.2 billion cubic meters in May, the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex, or CDU TEK, an agency that provides data and analysis to the Energy Ministry, said on Monday.
Gas exports to CIS countries almost tripled to 5.2 billion cubic meters in May, while non-CIS exports increased 14% to 10.7 billion cubic meters.
In January-May, gas exports grew by 7.3 million cubic meters, including CIS exports increased by 3 billion cubic meters to 23.5 billion cubic meters and non-CIS exports rose by 4.2 billion cubic meters to 60.5 billion cubic meters.
