MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. The Kalashnikov Group has adapted tactical supports for small arms for use by mobile armed units, taking into account the specific nature of combat missions in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, the company reported.
"The Kalashnikov Group has adapted its proprietary tactical supports for use by mobile armed units formed at domestic defense industry enterprises and critical infrastructure facilities. The first batch of the supports has been handed over to a mobile armed unit in the Republic of Udmurtia," the company stated.
Specifically, the adaptation was made taking into account the mobile air defense teams’ need to rapidly change positions and travel in all-terrain vehicles to detect and destroy aerial targets, primarily drones.
The tactical support for small arms used to counter enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) consists of a foldable, height-adjustable telescopic tripod featuring a movable upper mount for attaching machine guns or assault rifles, the company noted. These supports have undergone testing in the special military operation zone and received positive feedback from military personnel, serving as a solution for the round-the-clock protection of strategic facilities, defense industry enterprises, and critical infrastructure against enemy UAVs.
