MOSCOW, October 15. /TASS/. Russian forces disrupted the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a river landing operation in the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP), official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday.
"On the night of October 13-14, Russian troops disrupted preparations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a river landing operation in the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant," he said.
Meanwhile, Russian troops thwarted an attempt to cross the Oskol River in the Kharkov region by a tactical group of Ukrainian Armed Forces, Konashenkov said. "An attempt to cross the Oskol River in the area of the settlement of Dvurechnoye in the Kharkov region by a tactical group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was disrupted. As a result of the strike of aviation and artillery, more than 30 Ukrainian servicemen, four armored vehicles and two pickup trucks were destroyed," he said.
Russian troops have also resisted all attempts of the offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Nikolaevo-Krivoy Rog direction, eliminating more than 120 Ukrainian soldiers. "In the Nikolaevo-Krivoy Rog direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to attack in the areas of the settlements of Dudchany, Sadok, and Ishchenko in the Kherson region. As a result of the active actions of the Russian troops, all attacks were resisted," Konashenkov added.
