North Korea held test to assess weapon system yield

According to the news agency, the standard cluster warhead is capable of destroying a target - an area of 12 to 13 hectares

PYONGYANG, November 1. /TASS/. The General Missile Bureau of North Korea conducted a test to assess the applicability in combat warfare and the yield of the cluster warhead for the tactical ballistic missile, the KCNA news agency reported.

"We categorize cluster warheads as a special purpose warhead and warheads of four standard types. We will make it so this year that units can choose and use all these warheads with consideration of the operational target and features of the target to be destroyed," the bureau chief said.

As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the standard type No. 2 cluster warhead is capable of destroying a target - an area of 12 to 13 hectares.
