UNITED NATIONS, September 25. /TASS/. The timetable for Iran’s proposed plan to resolve its conflict with the United States will begin once Washington accepts it, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told reporters at UN headquarters.

Tehran would be ready to begin talks with US officials on a final deal on the seventh day, he said.

"The seven-day timeline will start as soon as the United States accepts this plan," he said. "So, if they accept this plan tomorrow, the seven-day [period] will start from tomorrow. There are certain actions to be taken by the United States, and we believe that these actions can be taken in four or five days. So, on day six, the Strait will be open, and on day seven, the talks with the US will be started," the top Iranian diplomat explained.

Araghchi said the steps required of Washington "are not new - they are all already in the Memorandum of Understanding.".
