Ukraine's Interpipe Steel halts production after Russian strike

The company stated that its main production equipment and infrastructure had been damaged

MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Ukraine's Interpipe Steel plant has halted production after it was hit by Russian forces, the facility's owner Interpipe said.

"The company's main production equipment and infrastructure were damaged, and production has been halted," Interpipe said on Facebook (banned in Russia; owned by Meta, designated as extremist in the country).

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said Russian forces had carried out a massive strike on metallurgical and chemical enterprises, as well as facilities of Ukraine's defense industry and fuel and energy sectors in Kiev and the Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava and Odessa regions. In particular, the attack hit the Interpipe Steel plant; its products are used to manufacture components, including fuselages, propulsion systems, wings and other elements for long-range drones.
