MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to NATO and the West’s provocative policies by firing a missile that their air defenses are unable to intercept, said Karin Kneissl, the former Foreign Minister of Austria and the head of the GORKI Center at St. Petersburg State University.
"While the Biden administration builds up an explosive legacy of missiles for the next tenant of the White House, Russia responded today to the many recent provocations by NATO," she wrote on Telegram. "There is more in the Russian arsenal than many believe. Russia carried out a combined strike on targets in Ukraine by using a novel intermediate-range hypersonic missile."
"In a western world ruled by simplified black and white instincts such a response highlights the complexity of what is at stake in general and more precisely for their anti-missile systems," she went on.
She added that "neither the US nor other countries of the world currently possess air defense systems capable of intercepting Russia's new hypersonic missiles.".
