Poland scrambles aircraft due to ‘activity of Russian long-range aviation’

MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Poland and its allies scrambled aircraft, citing the activity of Russia’s long-range aviation.

"Be warned that Polish and allied aircraft are operating in Polish airspace, which may lead to increased noise levels, particularly in the southeastern part of the country. Intense activity by Russian long-range aviation is being observed tonight (on April 11, 2024 - TASS)," the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command said on the X social media platform.

The Polish military reported a violation of the country's airspace on the border with Ukraine in the early morning hours of March 24. Poland alleged that it was a Russian cruise missile. According to the Polish command, the missile, allegedly launched by a Russian long-range aircraft, entered Polish airspace near the village of Oserdow, Lublin Voivodeship (province), on the border with Ukraine, and left 39 seconds later. No evidence was provided to support the claims.
