MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Western countries cannot afford to feel fatigue from the situation around Ukraine, Andrey Yermak, head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, told Politico.
"Even if there are people who feel this fatigue, I’m sure they don’t want to wake up in a world tomorrow where there will be less freedom," he said, commenting on a remark by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni who had said in a phone call with Russian pranksters that many were tired of the conflict in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian official added that Western partners must continue to support Kiev despite an escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky admitted earlier in an interview with NBC News that Western countries were tired from the conflict in Ukraine. However, he said with confidence that there was no alternative to Western assistance to Kiev. Meanwhile, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed out that support for Ukraine was becoming a burden too hard for the West to carry.
