MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Students who use AI without any critical thinking of their own will have poor results, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with teachers, winners of all-Russian professional competitions.
The head of state cited a study conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, in which Russia did not participate. According to the survey, in reading and math, students who used AI performed worse than those who used it less. The best results came from students who did not use AI at all.
"And this is a signal telling us that we understand these issues. If the use of AI comes down only to a student pressing a button for a specific answer, the correct answer, without using their own brain, without forcing, training their neural networks - this leads, frankly speaking, to an unfavorable outcome," Putin emphasized.
