MONTREUX, January 21 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived from Geneva to Montreux, where he plans to meet with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry later on Tuesday.
It is not ruled out that Larvov and Kerry will have consultations with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Lavrov’s motorcade arrived at the Montreux Palace hotel, which hosts delegations to the Geneva-2 international peace conference on Syria due to open on Wednesday.
The Russian foreign minister also plans to meet with his Syrian and Egyptian counterparts, Walid al-Mualem and Nabil Fahmy. It is worth noting that journalists are not let to access the venue of the talks. They are staying at a press centre in the vicinity of the Montreux Palace hotel.
