NEW DELHI, September 12. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived at the Bharat Mandapam convention center in New Delhi for the BRICS summit, a TASS correspondent reported.

He was greeted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the event’s host.

Putin and Modi exchanged a long handshake, giving media workers an opportunity to take protocol photos.

Afterward, the Russian leader headed to the summit’s waiting room.
