Continued terror attacks by Kiev to be met with increasingly tougher response — Lavrov

The top Russian diplomat expressed disappointment that virtually none of the Western nations have joined Russia’s condemnation of these attacks, including the leaders of international organizations like the UN, OSCE, or UNESCO

MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Kiev’s continued terror attacks on Russian soil will face an increasingly severe response, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

"As for the ongoing terror attacks by the Kiev regime, targeting civilian sites such as residential buildings, hospitals, clinics, stores, and public gathering areas - this is utterly unacceptable! These acts represent a direct violation of all counterterrorist conventions and UN Security Council resolutions," Lavrov said. "We are firmly cautioning that such continued actions will provoke a progressively stronger and more resolute reaction each time," the top Russian diplomat said.

Lavrov expressed disappointment that virtually none of the Western nations have joined Russia’s condemnation of these attacks, including the leaders of international organizations like the UN, OSCE, or UNESCO. The Russian foreign minister emphasized that Russia is regularly publishing evidence, including videos, showing its forces neutralizing facilities directly tied to the preparation and execution of Ukrainian military operations. "To be frank, as I understand it, though I’m not a military expert, the damage inflicted on Kiev’s military infrastructure—not only in retaliation for these terrorist attacks but overall during the special military operation over the past several months—is quite significant," he concluded.
