About 90% of all Western military shipments to Ukraine go through Poland — Russian envoy

Sergey Andreyev noted that the bulk of the EU mission on military support to Ukraine operates in Poland

MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. About 90% of all military equipment sent to Ukraine goes through Poland, which acts as a sort of a transit corridor for its transfer, Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreyev said on Russian TV Friday.

"According to Polish and Ukrainian officials, 90% of all military aid provided to Ukraine by the West goes through Polish territory. Poland acts as a sort of transit corridor, a hub for transportation of this aid, as well as fostering the transfer of mercenaries," he said, when asked about the amount of NATO equipment that moves through Poland on its way to Ukraine.

The diplomat noted that the bulk of the EU mission on military support to Ukraine operates in Poland.

"Plus, repair facilities for Western vehicles and Soviet-made vehicles that were shipped to Ukraine operate in Poland. Thus, Poland performs all kinds of functions to provide for Western military aid to Ukraine," Andreyev said.
