Russian envoy points to proof of Germany’s military biological activity in Ukraine

According to Gennady Gatilov, apart from research and scientific experiments, Ukraine’s territory was used for the provision of biomaterials and strains of dangerous biological pathogens to military laboratories in the United States and other countries

MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Documents confirm that Germany was implementing its own military biological program in Ukraine, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Gennady Gatilov said at a plenary meeting of the Conference on Disarmament on Thursday.

According to him, apart from research and scientific experiments, Ukraine’s territory was also used for the provision of biomaterials and strains of dangerous biological pathogens to military laboratories in the United States and other countries, including the United Kingdom, Georgia and Germany.

"In particular, more than 10,000 samples were sent to the Lugar Center in Georgia. Recipients also include a reference lab in the United Kingdom, where 773 samples were sent, as well as Germany’s Leffler Institute. It’s worth noting that documents confirm that Germany was implementing its own military biological program in Ukraine, which was aimed at studying the potential of deadly diseases, such as Congo-Crimean hemorrhagic fever, in Eastern Europe," Gatilov pointed out.
