MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Russian troops taking part in a special military operation in Ukraine advanced 11 kilometers in the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.

"Russian troops continued their advance, reaching the Vodnoye, Sladkoye, Stepnoye, Taramuk and Slavnoye settlements. The troops advanced 11 kilometers in the past 24 hours," he said.

According to Konashenkov, the forces of the Lugansk People’s Republic, who earlier blocked the city of Severodonetsk from the east and the south, are engaged in fighting with nationalist units on the northeastern outskirts of the city.
