Tourist flow from Russia to Cuba exceeds pre-pandemic record in 2023 — association

Russia was the third-largest inbound market for Cuba in terms of tourist arrivals in 2023

MOSCOW, January 12. /TASS/. The tourist flow from Russia to Cuba surged 3.4-fold in 2023 compared with the previous year to 184,800 Russians, surpassing the pre-pandemic record, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported citing figures provided by the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba.

"In 2023, 184,819 Russian citizens visited Cuba, a 3.4-fold increase compared with 2022. The Ministry of Tourism of Cuba stressed that last year marked a historic record for Russian tourism in Cuba as an all-time high of the pre-pandemic 2019 (178,000 tourists) was hit," the report said.

Russia was the third-largest inbound market for Cuba in terms of tourist arrivals in 2023, ATOR added.
