BREST /Belarus/, November 10. /TASS/. Almost 90% of events within the framework of 28 programs of the Union State of Russia and Belarus have been fulfilled, with 13 of them fully implemented, Economic Development Minister Maksim Reshetnikov said.
"Our economies are additionally backed by the Union’s 28 programs. Almost 90% of [programs] planned for implementation have been fulfilled, while 13 programs have been fully implemented," he said at a joint meeting of collegiums of the Russian Economic Development Ministry and the Belarusian Economy Ministry in Brest.
According to Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko, out of 993 events of the Union’s programs planned for implementation, 880 have been fulfilled, and another 11 programs are almost ready.
Belarus and Russia are implementing 28 integration sectoral programs greenlighted by presidents of the two countries, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, in November 2021, within the framework of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. The programs are aimed at legal harmonization in various sectors of the economy, making terms for business equal, as well as creating single financial and energy markets, the transport space.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said in early November that the implementation of the Union’s 28 programs was at its final stage, adding that they were expected to continue. Minsk’s ambassador to Moscow Dmitry Krutoy said in early April that part of issues included in the Union’s programs would be solved until 2030.
