BELGOROD, October 8. /TASS/. Crews of T-80BVM tanks from the motorized rifle regiment of Russia’s Battlegroup North’s 6th Guards Combined Arms Army have destroyed more than 10 Ukrainian drone storage and control sites in the Kharkov Region, a tank platoon commander with the call sign Matros told TASS.
"A reconnaissance UAV crew detected Ukrainian personnel transporting drones in the Kharkov Region. Further reconnaissance of the area helped to locate more than 10 UAV control and storage sites, as well as a fortified strongpoint through which Ukrainian drones were being delivered. On command, the tank crews opened fire on and destroyed the targets with high-explosive shells," the commander said.
According to Matros, Battlegroup North troops are engaging Ukrainian targets from concealed firing positions. "We prepare our positions in advance, try to create several access routes to them, and camouflage them as much as possible from enemy reconnaissance. This helps preserve our combat vehicles," he added.
Units of the Battlegroup North, while carrying out combat missions in the special military operation, continue to tighten the encirclement around and destroy Ukrainian formations in the Kharkov Region.
