MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. The United States urges Ukraine to carry out maximum mobilization and call up women, minors and the elderly, according to Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin.
"The West demands from the regime of (Ukrainian President Vladimir) Zelensky to ignore losses and demonstrate to the world community the impossibility of the Russian victory in the Ukrainian conflict. In particular, the reliable data obtained by the SVR show that the US orient the Ukrainian leadership towards maximum active mobilization events to replenish huge losses sustained by the Ukrainian armed forces during the failed counteroffensive," the SVR quoted him as saying.
"The American and British curators of Kiev recommend to the Ukrainian military-political leadership to decrease to 17 years and increase to 70 years the call-up age and additionally mobilize women," he said.
Ukrainian Defense Minister suggested to the Verkhovnaya Rada (parliament) to decrease the minimal call-up age. "If this happens, the Kiev regime will confirm its Nazi essence by sending 17-year old guys into the scorching heat of the war to prolong the agony of the Ukrainian armed forces. It resembles the actions of the rulers of Nazi Germany to create in the autumn of 1944 the Nazi Volkssturm militia, which formed Hitlerjugend detachments from minors," Naryshkin said.
Colossal losses of Ukrainian soldiers make Kiev send the elderly to fight. "They are already forming new units from soldiers older than 40 and began mobilizing men over 50. The bill that increases the call-up age for privates from 60 to 65 years and for commanders from 65 to 70 has been registered in Ukrainian parliament," he said.
The lack of soldiers makes Kiev mobilize women. There are over 40 thousand of them in the Ukrainian army, according to western estimates. "The Kiev regime has raised the call-up age for females to 60 years. But that is not enough. The Ukrainian military command asks to expand the list of female professions subject to mobilization. Medical workers have been subject to it since October. As a result, there is an acute shortage of personnel in hospitals, clinics and drugstores. However, the Kiev regime is not concerned by it and is ready to continue the war up the last Ukrainian for the sake of western interests," Naryshkin said.
