Object found near Nord Stream 2 salvaged — Danish Energy Agency

The item was recovered from the depth of 73 meters

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The recovery on an object close to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline was completed, the Danish Energy Agency said on Wednesday.

"The Danish Energy Agency informs that the salvage of the object adjacent to Nord Stream 2 pipeline has been completed" on March 28, 2023, the Agency informed.

"Investigations indicate that the object is an empty maritime smoke buoy, which is used for visual marking. The object does not pose a safety risk," the Agency noted.

The item was recovered from the depth of 73 meters. The salvage operation was attended by a representative of Nord Stream 2 AG, the pipeline operator, the regulator added.
