Four regions in central Ukraine alerted for air raids

Air raid sirens are ringing out in Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Poltava and Kharkov regions

KIEV, January 16. /TASS/. An air alert was issued in Ukraine’s Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Poltava and Kharkov regions on Monday.

Air raid sirens are also ringing out in the Kiev-controlled area of the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to an official alerting system.

Last weekend, Ukraine was alerted for air raids, too. Also, blasts were reported in Dnepr, Ivano-Frankovsk and Ternopol, as well as in the Vinnitsa, Nikolayev, Odessa and Kharkov regions.

Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko said power infrastructure had been damaged in five Ukrainian regions as well as in the Kiev-controlled areas of the Zaporozhye Region. The bulk of Ukrainian regions are experiencing emergency blackouts.
