Flight from Istanbul carrying Russian national Vinnik lands in Moscow's Vnukovo airport

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. The Mitsubishi Challenger jet carrying Russian citizen Alexander Vinnik landed at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport, the airport services told TASS.

"The Mitsubishi plane landed at Vnukovo. It spent a little over 4 hours in flight from Istanbul," the agency's source said.

Vinnik's lawyer confirmed to TASS that this was the flight Vinnik was on.

Vinnik was detained in Greece on July 25, 2017, at the request of the United States, where he is accused of laundering $4-9 bln through the now defunct crypto exchange BTC-e. He was extradited to the United States on August 4, 2022.
