'Only matter of time' before Russian athletes return to int’l arena — diplomat

The world wants to see real competitions where everybody should be included, Maria Zakharova stressed

MOSCOW, November 5. /TASS/. The full-fledged return of Russian athletes to the global arena is only a matter of time, because the world knows that to have real competition, everyone must be included, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.

"The return of our athletes in full to all international competitions is only a matter of time," she stated.

"Because the entire world, if we’re not talking about sick regimes, including Western European or NATO ones, but if we’re talking about the global majority, about the people of our planet, has made its choice: they want to see our athletes, they want to see real competitions, real struggle, instead of aggression and war - the struggle in formats that bring humanity up rather than down," Zakharova stated.
