Novorossiysk declares state of emergency after Ukrainian drone attack

According to the latest reports, a secondary school, a sports school and a college had been damaged in the attack

KRASNODAR, August 12. /TASS/. A state of emergency was declared in the southern Russian city of Novorossiysk following a drone attack, Mayor Andrey Kravchenko said.

"A state of emergency has been declared in Novorossiysk. To promptly address the aftermath of the attack, a crisis center has been set up to coordinate the work of emergency response teams. The affected areas are being inspected for drone debris, with working groups going door-to-door. Utility companies and repair crews have begun cleanup operations. We will use all necessary resources to restore everything as soon as possible," he wrote on the Max social media platform.

The mayor said that, according to the latest reports, a secondary school, a sports school and a college had been damaged in the attack.
