Ukrainian troops attack localities in Russia’s Kursk Region with artillery 171 times

A private home completely burned down in the village of Novaya Krivtsovka in the Oboyan District as a result of the attack

KURSK, May 19. /TASS/. Over the past day, 108 Ukrainian drones were downed over the Kursk Region which was also attacked by Ukrainian artillery 171 times, according to Governor Alexander Khinshtein.

"Overall, between 9:00 a.m. [Moscow time] (6:00 a.m. GMT) on May 18 and 9:00 a.m. [Moscow time] (6:00 a.m. GMT) on May 19, 108 enemy drones of varying types were downed. The enemy used artillery against isolated areas 171 times. Also, drones attacked our land, using explosives, 10 times," the official wrote on his channel on Max.

The wall of a storage facility at a fodder mill in the village of Giryi in the Belaya District, and a field engine in Maloye Soldatskoye were damaged, while a private home burned down completely in the village of Novaya Krivtsovka in the Oboyan District as a result of the attacks, the governor said.

On Monday evening, Khinshtein said that Ukrainian troops had attacked a private home in the village of Markovo in the Glushkovo District, killing a woman in a kitchen garden. Two other people sustained injuries and are in grave condition.
