Russia engages Upyr FPV drone in all Ukrainian directions

Upyr FPV drone was designed in Sverdlovsk region for strikes in hostile rear to bar ammunition supplies and destroy armor in closed positions

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. The Upyr first-person-view (FPV) drone designed in May 2023 in the Urals is being engaged in all directions of the special military operation in Ukraine and the use of it has increased of late, a representative of the producer told TASS.

"Our drone is being used in each direction of the special military operation. We have increased and continue to increase production capacities, as the consumption of Upyr has grown of late. A considerable part of the batches is financed by donations from our people across the country and we thank them for it," he said.

Upyr FPV drone was designed in Sverdlovsk region for strikes in hostile rear to bar ammunition supplies and destroy armor in closed positions. It also successfully destroys Ukrainian motorboats in the Dnieper River, camouflaged bunkers and strongholds. The drone carries RPG-7 grenades, such as PG-7VL, handheld RKG-3M grenades, high-power fragmentation charges made by the military in the combat zone. The producer designed Udlinitel air radio relay device that doubles Upyr range.
