Over 300 localities in Ukraine still without electricity — emergencies officials

Also, Ukraine’s emergencies officials specified that 30 fires that erupted after Monday’s explosions had been stamped out

KIEV, October 11. /TASS/. More than 300 localities in five Ukrainian regions are still without power, the country’s emergencies service reported on Tuesday.

"As many as 301 settlements in the Kiev, the Sumy, the Ternopol and the Khmelnitsky regions remain cut off from the electricity supply," the service said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

Ukraine’s emergencies officials specified that 30 fires that erupted after Monday’s explosions had been stamped out.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an emergency Security Council meeting on Monday that a massive strike with "long-range precision weapons" had been inflicted on Ukrainian energy, military command and communications facilities. He said the Ukrainian government had long used terrorist tactics, such as an attempt to blow up a section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, the strikes that are being inflicted on the Zaporozhye NPP, and the three terrorist attacks on the Kursk NPP. The Russian president warned Kiev that these actions would be met with a stiff response.
