Russia does not reject its course on denazification of Ukraine — Kremlin

On March 3, Vladimir Putin stated that Russian servicemen "are fighting for Russia, for peaceful life for Donbass people, for denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine"

MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. Moscow will not abandon its course towards denazification of Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists Friday.

"No, it is not the case," Kremlin said, commenting on the opinion voiced in Kiev that Moscow allegedly abandoned this course, because the word ‘denazification’ is not being used during the Russian-Ukrainian talks.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to the request from Donbass people’s republics. He underscored that Moscow does not plan to occupy Ukrainian territories, and that the special operation aims to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine.

On March 3, Putin stated during Russian Security Council meeting that Russian servicemen "are fighting for Russia, for peaceful life for Donbass people, for denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine," so that "anti-Russia" being created at the Russian border could not threaten Moscow.
