Death toll in overnight Ukrainian drone attack on Belgorod rises to five

BELGOROD, August 9. /TASS/. The death toll from a massive overnight Ukrainian drone attack on Belgorod has risen to five, the regional operational command said on Max.

The body of a man was found while workers were clearing the remains of a multifamily building that had caught fire. Another man, who had been in critical condition, died in hospital, the command said. "Doctors fought for his life until the end, but his injuries proved incompatible with life," it said.

Three men were also injured when a UAV detonated at an enterprise in Shebekino in the Belgorod Region. Territorial defense fighters took them to Shebekino Central District Hospital.

One of the men sustained through shrapnel wounds to soft tissue and a shrapnel injury to the temporal region. He is in critical condition and will be transferred to Belgorod Regional Clinical Hospital after receiving medical care.

The second man sustained shrapnel wounds to the chest and knee, as well as an injury to the zygomatic area. He will continue treatment as an outpatient. The third man suffered a penetrating head wound and burns. He is in critical condition and is being transferred by ambulance to Belgorod Regional Clinical Hospital.
