ASTANA, October 13. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has brought up the attempt of sabotage against the Turkish Stream when he met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Russian leader said it was thanks to Erdogan’s firm position that the plan to build the Turkish Stream was executed and as a result, the route of Russian gas supplies to Europe via Turkey is now the most reliable.
"Although as you have heard, there was an attempt to blow it up, too, on the territory of the Russian Federation," Putin told Erdogan. "But thank God, that didn’t happen, and it [the pipeline] is operating successfully."
