Russia testing new night-time FPV interceptor drones in special military op in Ukraine

The use of night-time homing UAVs operating by the "fire and forget" principle will complement the actively used Yolka-type daytime interceptor drones

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Testing of night-time interceptor drones, which will complement the daytime drones actively used by the troops, is underway in the special military operation zone in Ukraine, a source in Russian security agencies told TASS.

"In addition to daytime interceptor drones (operating at high altitudes - TASS), the troops [in the special military operation zone] are testing night-time interceptors, and we expect their efficient deployment," the source said.

He noted that the use of night-time homing UAVs operating by the "fire and forget" principle will complement the actively used Yolka-type daytime interceptor drones.
