KALININGRAD, December 9. /TASS/. The Yantar Shipyard of the Russian United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has transferred the Project 11356 Tushil missile frigate to the Indian Navy, TASS reporters at the scene said.
"On November 9, 2024, Rosoboronexport delivered the Project 11356 Tushil frigate to the Indian Navy at the Yantar Shipyard of USC in Kaliningrad. This is the fourth frigate built at the Kaliningrad shipyard of USC for the Indian Navy," the shipyard’s press service reported.
Tushil will be the seventh Project 11356 ship in the Indian Navy built at Russian shipyards, the press service noted. This demonstrates the high performance shown by these ships and the high credibility placed in the Russian defense industry by the Indian Navy.
The frigate has previously completed successful acceptance trials with the participation of the Indian commission.
