Threat of assassination attempt on Polish PM ‘extremely serious’ — intelligence agency

There is a high probability that these threats will be carried out, spokesman Jacek Dobrzynski stated

MOSCOW, October 11. /TASS/. Polish intelligence agencies are taking the threat of an assassination attempt on Prime Minister Donald Tusk extremely seriously, as the threat appears highly credible, spokesman Jacek Dobrzynski stated.

"We are taking this matter very seriously," he said at a briefing following an emergency meeting of the intelligence services. "There is a high probability that these threats will be carried out," Dobrzynski emphasized. According to him, Tusk and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz received the threats around 5:00 a.m. GMT on October 11.

According to the Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper, the threats were received via electronic channels and contained information about the politicians’ residences and plans for the near future.
