Israel hits targets near Damascus, several missiles downed — agency

Some of the missiles were downed by Syrian air defense systems

BEIRUT, October 27. /TASS/. Israel delivered a missile strike at targets near Damascus in the night to Thursday, SANA agency reported.

According to the agency’s source in the Syrian law enforcement structures, the strike was delivered at about 00:30 am local time. "The Israeli enemy unleashed an aerial aggression from the occupied Palestinian territories" to hit several facilities located near the Syrian capital city, it said. Some of the missiles were downed by Syrian air defense systems, others incurred only material damage.

The Syrian mass media reported in the small hours on October 22 that Israel had hit several facilities near Damascus. Moscow of the Israeli missiles were intercepted. Israel attacked several facilities near Damascus again on October 24. One Syrian soldier was wounded.
