CAIRO, May 4. /TASS/. The emissaries of Palestine’s Hamas movement arrived last night in Moscow where they intend to hold a number of meetings with Russian officials, Donia Al-Watan news portal reported on Wednesday.
The delegation, among others, includes deputy head of the Hamas Political Bureau abroad Mousa Abu Marzook and two more representatives of the movement’s leadership, Fathi Hamad and Husam Badran. According to the news outlet, at the talks in Moscow, they are planning to discuss the situation around Jerusalem, the Palestinian dossier in general and relations with Russia.
Meanwhile, according to Al Mayadeen TV channel, they have a meeting planned with Russian Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov. The delegation also plans to hold consultations at the State Duma and the Federation Council. The TV channel also reported that they have a meeting planned with Chechnya’s leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
The last time a Hamas delegation visited Moscow was at the end of December.
