Biden denies situation around Ukraine became proxy conflict between Russia and NATO

However, Washington is prepared to any actions taken by Moscow, the US President stressed

WASHINGTON, April 28. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden does not believe that the situation in Ukraine has effectively become a proxy conflict between Russia and NATO, but stated Washington’s readiness for any action by Moscow.

Answering a question in the White House Thursday whether a proxy war between Russia and NATO is already underway, the president said that such statements are "not true."

When asked whether the situation around Ukraine can evolve into an indirect conflict between NATO and Moscow, Biden replied: "we are prepared for whatever they do."
