WASHINGTON, February 12. /TASS/. Ksenia Yudaeva, who represents Russia at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is currently in the US capital and is personally performing the duties of the Executive Director, the IMF told TASS.
"Yudaeva is personally performing her duties as Executive Director at the Fund's headquarters in Washington," the organization's representative noted.
Bloomberg reported on January 22, the US Treasury Department has allowed Yudaeva, who is under US sanctions, to come to the United States to work at the IMF. As the agency noted, the decision was made by the administration of the 46th President Joe Biden.
In December last year, Director of the IMF Communication Department Julie Kozak said that Yudaeva was fully performing the functions of the Russian executive director at the IMF remotely. She began work in this position on November 1, 2024. Yudaeva left the post of First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia in August 2023.
