Air defense engaged at airborne targets in Rostov region, no casualties, damage caused

Governor Vasily Golubev noted that air defense systems in the region perform its duties on elimination of airborne targets

ROSTOV-ON-DON, October 23. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems downed airborne targets over the Rostov Region, Governor Vasily Golubev said on his Telegram channel, adding that no casualties or damage were inflicted.

"At 14:59 [Moscow time], air defense forces were successfully engaged against airborne targets. There are no casualties or damage on the ground," the governor said.

He noted that air defense systems in the region perform its duties on elimination of airborne targets.

"Targets can be revealed at any moment. [Air defense] operation may continue," Golubev noted.

On Saturday, regional authorities reported that Rostov Region air defenses were engaged twice, including against targets beyond the region’s territory.
