Responsibility for murder of Russian POWs lies with Kiev’s Western puppeteers — statement

The Foreign Ministry called this video yet further proof of the "egregious war crimes of the Kiev regime"

MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. The video footage of the execution of Russian POWs by Ukrainian militants that has been uploaded online recently is yet further evidence of Kiev’s crimes, for which Western puppeteers of Ukraine are responsible, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Thursday.

"The [responsibility for] yet another execution of Russian POWs lies, to a significant degree, with Kiev’s Western puppeteers, who created this Nazi regime, who nurtured a generation of Ukrainians, obsessed with the idea of hatred and national supremacy. By covering up their crimes with silence, they make such murders possible. The blood of Russians is on the hands of countries that supply weapons and Nazi ideology to Ukraine," the Ministry said.

The Foreign Ministry called this video yet further proof of the "egregious war crimes of the Kiev regime."

"The silence of relevant international structures, which traded professionalism and objectivity for the desire to serve the US and other Western states, is a shameful fact," the Ministry said.

The Ministry underscored that Russia has repeatedly drawn the attention of the international community to this and pointed out Ukrainian authorities’ non-compliance with international humanitarian law.

"The Russian Investigative Committee has already said that it is investigating the new video evidence of Kiev’s war crimes. We are certain that they will not go unpunished," the Ministry concluded.
