BUENOS AIRES, August 11. /TASS/. The death toll from the devastating earthquake in western Colombia has climbed to 224, Reuters reported, citing local authorities.

Rescue operations continue.

According to Colombia’s El Tiempo newspaper, at least 1,310 people have been injured in the calamity.

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck near the city of San Jose del Palmar in the Choco department on August 10.
