UAV attack causes explosion in apartment building in Russia’s Rostov-on-Don

According to preliminary reports, no deaths occurred, and two people were injured

ROSTOV-ON-DON, March 21. /TASS/. An explosion has taken place in an apartment building in the city of Rostov-on-Don due to an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), with operational services on their way to the site, the region’s acting governor, Yury Slyusar, said.

"As a result of a UAV attack, an explosion occurred in an apartment building in Rostov-on-Don, 49 Gorsovetskaya street. Operational services have set out to the site," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

"In the Proletarsky district of Rostov, a UAV exploded at the level of the 17th floor in a high-rise apartment building on Gorsovetskaya Street, 49/1. According to preliminary reports, no deaths occurred, and two people were injured," Slyusar wrote.

"Two victims, residents of the building on Gorsovetskaya Street, 49/1, who were injured by the UAV explosion, are being transported to the Rostov City Emergency Hospital with stab wounds. Medics describe their condition as moderately severe. Another resident required medical attention due to stress, and doctors treated her on the spot," he wrote.
