MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Inflation in Russia stood at 0.96% from September 29 through October 5, 2026, according to data from the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat). A week earlier, from September 22 through September 28, inflation stood at 0.12%.
Consumer prices in Russia have risen by 0.9% since the beginning of October.
According to a review of the current price situation prepared by the Russian Economic Development Ministry, Russia’s annual inflation stood at 7.17% from September 29 through October 5.
"Inflation stood at 0.96% in the week from September 29 through October 5, 2026 (following the indexation of housing and utility rates from October 1). Food prices changed by 0.17%, including a continued decline in fruit and vegetable prices (0.57%), while prices for other food products changed at the same rate as the previous week (0.24%). In the non-food sector, the rate of price growth stood at 0.13%. Prices in the monitored services sector changed by 5.14%, mainly due to the indexation of housing and utility services (from October 1, 2026). Excluding housing and utility services, consumer market prices changed by 0.21% over the reporting week. Annual inflation stood at 7.17% as of October 5. The year-on-year inflation rate may be revised after Rosstat releases its September data on October 9," the review said.
