Russian mineral fertilizer exports to Myanmar surge 30-fold — minister

Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov stressed that the construction of an organic fertilizer plant in Myanmar is proceeding on schedule

MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Russia has increased its supplies of mineral fertilizers to Myanmar 30-fold this year, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said at a plenary session of the 6th Russian-Myanmar Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

"Since last year, Myanmar has been supplying beans, furniture, and tableware to Russia. Meanwhile, Russia has launched supplies of mineral fertilizers, with exports surging more than 30-fold this year," he said.

The minister added that the construction of an organic fertilizer plant in Myanmar is proceeding on schedule, and agreements have been reached to construct a second plant.
