Annual inflation in Russia recorded at 10.11% on March 18-24 — ministry

Food inflation for the reporting period amounted to 0.22%

MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Annual inflation in Russia accelerated to 10.11% in the period from March 18 to 24, up from 10.08% the previous week, according to the latest review of the current price situation prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development.

"During the week from March 18 to 24, 2025, inflation stood at 0.12%. Food inflation for the reporting period amounted to 0.22%. Prices for fruits and vegetables changed by 0.53%, while prices for other food products rose by 0.19%. In the non-food segment, prices remained unchanged, with a continued decline in the cost of electrical and household appliances. In the services sector, the price dynamics stood at 0.13%. Annual inflation as of March 24 was recorded at 10.11%," the statement said.

The Ministry of Economic Development expects inflation in Russia to stabilize at 4.5% in 2025, with projections for 2026-2027 set at 4%. However, on February 23, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, commenting on the Bank of Russia’s inflation forecast of 7-8%, acknowledged the possibility of such an outcome. The ministry plans to revise its forecast in March.
