MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. Rostelecom completed recovery operations on a subsea cable in the Baltic Sea, the Russian telecom operator told TASS.
"Cable damage occurred in the northern part of the Baltic Sea in the exclusive economic zone of Finland in consequence of an external impact, supposedly by a foreign vessel’s anchor due to breaching rules at sea," Rostelecom said.
Operability of the communication line linking the Kaliningrad Region and the Russian backbone network was fully restored, the company noted. "Rostelecom successfully completed recovery operations," it added.
