Inflation in Russia accelerates to 0.2% on December 5-11

Since the beginning of December, consumer prices in Russia have increased by 0.27%, since the beginning of the year - by 6.93%

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Inflation in Russia from December 5 to December 11, 2023, reached 0.2%, according to the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat). A week earlier - from November 28 to December 4 - inflation reached 0.12%.

Since the beginning of December, consumer prices in Russia have increased by 0.27%, since the beginning of the year - by 6.93%.

In annual terms, inflation in Russia as of December 11, 2023 (according to calculations using average daily data for this and last year for similar dates) amounted to 7.08%.

Rosstat also confirmed the preliminary assessment of Russia's GDP growth in the third quarter of 2023 at the level of 5.5% in annual terms. Russia's GDP in the Q3 amounted to 44.15 trillion rubles ($489.77 bln). Compared to the Q2, GDP growth reached 7.8%.
