MOSCOW, June 12. /TASS/. Other foreign leaders in addition to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) this year, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with TASS.
"Yes, President Tokayev said that he would participate, and we are very grateful to our Kazakhstani friends, partners and allies for it," Peskov said. "As for other participants, they will also be there," he said in reference to other attendees at the level of heads of government and heads of state who confirmed their participation.
Peskov specified that "the president has planned contacts with these foreign leaders", but he did not announce the list of distinguished guests in advance. "In order not to give more work to US ambassadors, I will not announce anything now," he said, explaining that heads of US diplomatic missions around the world are putting pressure on the authorities of other states.
"We are expecting a very, very interesting plenary session," he said.
